Dr. April Miller joined the faculty at JCIB in 2007, and it was certainly a homecoming as she had attended and graduated from the school once known as RLC some 30 years earlier. Dr. Miller taught AP US History, AP & IB Psychology and for a brief time AP US Government, AP MacroEconomics and Sociology. During that time she also read and scored AP US Government exams, trained AP US History teachers across the state and became a National Board Certified Teacher. In January of 2012, Dr. Miller became the IB Coordinator and is focused on recruiting and maintaining students within the IB program as well as helping juniors and seniors prepare for their IB courses and exams, and helping them find the college that will best fit their aspirations and requirements, along with providing staff development and support for professional learning. Dr. Miller feels fortunate to be part of the JCIB family!
