I was born in historical Selma, Alabama, and I am a proud product of the Selma City School District. An educator for 17 years, I have served as a teacher, grade-level chair, instructional coach, and currently serve as Assistant Principal at Hueytown High School.
My career in education began in the Dallas County School District at Tipton-Durant Middle School in 2007. During my tenure there, I taught 8th grade World History and was a Reading Interventionist.
I received my bachelor’s degree in History Education from Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. I also hold a master’s degree and an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. I believe in enjoying life by being of service to others.
