Title I Details

Parents' Right to Know

Center Point High School has received the prestige of being a Title I school and will be afforded federal funding to supplement our school’s existing programs. The funds will be used for assisting students who experience academic difficulties, to purchase additional materials to meet and advance students’ needs, and to finance parent involvement training activities and resources. Being a Title I school also ensures that parents will be involved in a decision-making capacity and will be informed regarding parental rights concerning the qualifications of our classroom teachers.

As a parent of a student attending a Title I eligible school in the Jefferson County School District, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct your child. Federal law permits you to request certain information about your child’s classroom teachers and requires us to give you this information in a timely manner when so requested. If you would like to receive this information, please contact our school at 205-379-3400.
