Hi Eagles Family,

I am elated and honored to serve as Assistant Principal of Center Point Elementary School!

My friends and family refer to me as a born educator as I am extremely passionate about supporting children’s development and facilitating a love for learning. Thus far in my career, I have had the opportunity to teach kindergarten and first grade scholars and serve as an ARI Local Reading Specialist in Birmingham City Schools. I was also selected by the Alabama State Department of Education to complete a Principal Candidate Semester Residency. In addition to that, I was chosen by the Counsel for Leaders in Alabama Schools to participate in the Aspiring School Leaders Academy. Roles and responsibilities in those positions and cohorts have prepared me to continue to serve families and teachers as Assistant Principal here.

My inspiration for wanting to serve in this field is credited to my dad and grandparents who serve(d) as teachers, coaches, consultants, and administrators throughout their careers.

I am a graduate of Jacksonville State University and The University of West Alabama.

My hobbies include traveling and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy listening to podcasts.

My favorite times of year are the winter holidays and Mardi Gras season in Mobile, where my mother is from.

I am thrilled about my new journey here at CPES to serve our students, parents, faculty/staff, and stakeholders.
