McAdory High School students will have the opportunity to participate in 9 Signature Academies, either at McAdory High School or one of the Southern Zone schools.
If a student enrolls in an academy at another school, JEFCOED buses will provide transportation.
The JEFCOED Signature Academy Late Application Portal opens on May 10th, 2023.
Applications will be accepted through Thursday, May 25th at 4:00 p.m.

Current Signature Academy Students or students who have already accepted an award letter for an academy should not complete a new application.

Develops students' skills and knowledge in the electrical program of manufacturing, providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for careers in robotics, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, electronics, and precision machining. Provides students with real-world, hands-on activities that will help them gain knowledge and credentials necessary for an entry-level position in automotive repair, or as preparation for them to continue their education in college. Who can apply for a signature academy?
Current 8th and 9th grade students have the option to apply for a Signature Academy. (rising 9th and 10th grade students for the 23-24 school year)

When can I apply for a JEFCOED Signature Academy?
The application portal will open at 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022. The portal will close on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 4 p.m. It is still possible to apply for an academy after the January 13th deadline, but preference will be given to students who apply during the application window.

How many spots are open for each Signature Academy?
Some programs have more available seats than others. We will accept students in all academies until all seats are full.

When will I know if I am accepted into a Signature Academy?
Academy seats for the 2023-2024 school year will be awarded during the last week of January. Award letters will be sent to students no later than Friday, January 27th, 2023.

If I'm already in Signature Academy do I have to reapply?
Current signature academy students will need to confirm that they will continue in the program. However, they will not have to submit a new application.
JEFCOED will send a link directly to the parents of those students asking them to confirm their intentions for the 2023-2024 school year.
Current Signature Academy students will have to confirm their continuation in the program no later than Friday, January 13th, 2023.

How many Signature Academies will I be able to attend during a school year?
Students may only enroll in one academy during the 2023-2024 school year.

If a student chooses a Signature Academy at another school, how will they get there?
All students who participate in an academy at a school other than their home campus will travel via JEFCOED school buses.

My student changed their mind. Can I submit another application?
No. Only one application may be submitted per student. Duplicate applications will not be accepted. No changes can be made after the application has been submitted.

Parents can locate their student’s number in the Parent Portal of PowerSchool.
