Mrs. Sandy Jolivette

On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to welcome our students back for the 2018-2019 school year. It is a humbling experience to serve as principal of this school with such a committed team of educators. I am so proud of the staff for the high-quality education they provide for students each day.

Our goal is to ensure that every student is exposed to rigorous coursework while learning from competent, caring professionals. We want our students to be challenged academically and embrace the IB Learner Profile attributes: inquirers, knowledgeable, caring, principled, reflective, communicators, open-minded, risk-takers, balanced and thinkers. Our staff is dedicated to modeling these characteristics for students on a daily basis!

We want to be partners in education with you! Please know that we have an open door policy and welcome any opportunity to meet with you. We are looking forward to collaborating with you to provide students with the most academically enriched, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally empowered educational experience possible.

Mrs. Sandy Jolivette is beginning her 18th year in the field of education. During this time, she has served as a teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal. She has also served as an Assistant Director and Acting Director at the district level before returning to her first love, working with students in the schools. Mrs. Jolivette received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Nicholls State University in Louisiana and her Master of Science in Educational Leadership degree from Samford University. Considering herself a lifelong learner, she returned to the University of West Alabama to earn her Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership. Mrs. Jolivette is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Instructional Leadership at Samford University. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and travelling with her husband, Tellis and two children – Christopher, 12 and Sydney, 6.
