    Cheerleaders Win at Auburn

    Congratulations to the CMS Cheerleaders for winning the following awards at Auburn University's Cheerleader Camp: 1st Place in Camp Routine, 1st Place in Camp Cheer, 1st Place in Overall Game DayBella Wingo & Anna Kate Nail were selected as All-American Cheerleaders by the UCA staff. Four cheerleaders -- Bella Wingo, Ava Claire Payne, Amory Swan, and Anna Kate Nail -- received the “Pin it Forward” award from camp staffers. The ladies also brought home a camp spirit stick, all blue and gold ribbons, and the coveted banana.

    FBLA Members Win At Nationals

    Parker Allums and Bryant Swan participated in the Middle Level competition category Multimedia and Website Design at the state competition in the spring where they finished first and advanced to the national level where they finished 8th in the country in their division.

    CMS Student Competes in International Future Problem Solvers

    Congratulations to Future Problem Solver! Cade Schollian. He represented our school and our school district in the International Future Problem Solving Competition held in Boston, Massachusetts in June. In his middle school division of 92 competitors, Cade finished in 9th place for his design and presentation.

    CMS Robotics Team, Warbots, Going to VEX Worlds!

    The Warbots -- a 5th and 6th grade team comprised of Jake Malone, Gavin Peters, Jack Smith, and Will Tingle -- finished in the top 5 in teamwork, won the Whataburger Design Award, and qualified for VEX Worlds in Dallas, Texas.

    CMS Robotics Team, C4, Going to VEX Worlds!

    Team C4 -- a 7th and 8th grade team made up of Caden Craven, Caden Little, Leland O'Neill, and Cade Schollian -- was one of the top scoring team in the skills division and has earned a wild card invitation to compete at VEX Worlds in Dallas, Texas.

    CMS Robotics Coach Named State Robotics Teacher of the Year

    Corner Library Media Specialist and Robotics Coach, Jennifer Harris, was named Alabama VEX IQ Robotics Teacher of the Year last Saturday at the State VEX IQ Robotics Championship at Auburn University. We are proud of Mrs. Harris for her selection and thank her for all that she does to promote excellence in the robotics program at Corner Middle School!
