Kindergarten Camp
Kindergarten Camp for incoming kindergarten students will be July 26-July 27 from 8:00-11:30. Drop off will be at 7:45. Please send a lunch with your student each day.

2022-2023 Registration
We have several dates scheduled for 2022-2023 registration. These dates are times for parents to bring in proof of residence documents if they were not uploaded during online registration. (Visit this link for more information on required documentation.) We will also have chromebooks available for families who need to use them to complete registration during the scheduled dates. Registration dates: 1st and 2nd Grades: July 12, 8:00-12:00; and July 25, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00; 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades: July 13th, 1:00-3:00; and July 26th, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00; 1st-5th Grades: July 14th, 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00; and July 27th, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-6:00; Kindergarten and all other new students: July 28th, 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00; All new and returning students: August 1st, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00

Read Across America Week
We're celebrating Read Across America Week with some fun dress up days February 28-March 4th! Monday-Hats Off to Reading-wear a hat; Tuesday-Readers are Leaders-dress for your future college or career; Wednesday-Dreaming of Reading-wear pajamas; Thursday-Reading Takes Us Places-dress like a tourist or in vacation attire; Friday-Reading Brightens Our Lives-wear bright colors or lots of colors!

Family STEM Night
Join us for Family STEM Night on Tuesday, March 1st, 5:30-6:30 PM. We will have a brief overview followed by STEM activities and demonstrations!

Notice of JEFCOED Board Meetings
The Jefferson County Board of Education will have a Special Called Board Meeting on August 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.. We will also have a Special Called Board Meeting with our regular monthly committee meeting to follow on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in the Board Room at 10:00 a.m. at the Board Office, 2100 18th Street South, Birmingham, Alabama.
The Jefferson County Board of Education will meet for our 1st Budget Hearing and Regular Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 (instead of Thursday, August 25, 2022) at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Room. -

The Jefferson County School District is proud to announce that its annual Exceptional Prom will be held on Thursday, May 19th at the Finley Center in Hoover. It will be from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
