Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Courtney Davis

Hi everyone, my name is Courtney J Davis. I obtained my undergraduate in Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University in April of 2013. Since then I have taught in three schools and two systems that include Jefferson Davis High School, Alexander City Middle School and Benjamin Russell High School going. Within my six years of teaching, I’ve taught numerous science courses including: Physical Science, Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Botany, Environmental Science, Zoology and Earth & Space Science. I’ve also sponsored several clubs and organizations including coaching Wrestling and Bowling. In my most recent years in the classroom I've taught Environmental Science, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Biology at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama within Alexander City School System and loved it. I’m very passionate about science, the subjects I teach, and expect the best for and from my students!

I received my Master's in Instructional Leadership from Jacksonville State University in December 2018. I currently am working as the Assistant Principal at Hueytown Elementary School and now North Highland Elementary School as well and so far I am loving every moment of it! Thank you all for being so welcoming and making me feel right at home!

I come from an awesome family in which my parents are both pastors and have four brothers. Something many may not know about me by just looking is that I sing very well and play the piano. I also enjoy being a playwright and participating in local plays. I also paint and do choreography on the side in my down time and currently I’m the first coach in my school system to bring a bowling team to our school and we’re pretty good.
