The Jefferson County School District's Finance Department takes pride in its record of sound fiscal management and accountability in order to support student learning. The district is audited annually by the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts and continues to receive unqualified audit opinions, meaning that the auditors have no reservations concerning the district's financial statements. Our department publishes an annual Accountability Report, and all records are open to the public. In addition, each school is audited monthly, and financial records are reconciled, balanced, and closed monthly. A managerial report is presented to the Board of Education each month.
