  • Internet Voucher

The Alabama Broadband Connectivity for Students Program will provide free Internet access for eligible students who are enrolled in the National School Lunch Program through their schools and receive free or reduced lunch.

Next week, families will begin to receive letters with vouchers in the mail. The vouchers will cover equipment and service costs for high-speed Internet service through December 2020.

If you receive a letter, you should then follow the steps listed below.

Step 1:  Once you receive your ABC voucher in the mail, call a participating internet service provider listed on the front of your letter.

Step 2: Tell the internet service provider: "I have an Alabama ABC Voucher" and provide the number on the front of your letter.

Step 3: Your internet service provider will provide any equipment or installation you may need. Don’t worry, they will talk you through the process and the costs are covered by the voucher.

Step 4: Once service begins, help your student get online so they can be ready to start learning.

If you would like to register for Free and Reduced Lunch you may do so on www.jefcoed.com

If you would like more information about the ABC for Students you may visit them online at www.abcstudents.org.
