As a lifelong member of the Oak Grove community, I am honored to have been the principal of Oak Grove Elementary for the past ten years.  I am a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Originally earning a degree in business, I spent several years in the private business sector.  I again attended UAB and earned an advanced degree in education.  Beginning my teaching career at Irondale Community School, I am now a twenty-four year veteran of public education.  Since teaching at Irondale, I have been an administrator at the Jefferson County Alternative School, Pleasant Grove High, Lipscomb Elementary, Pittman/Hueytown Middle, and Hueytown High School.  I have a wife, Diane, who is an English teacher at Oak Grove High.  I have two daughters.  My older daughter, Millia, is an interal auditor for Jefferson County Schools and an Honor Graduate for the University of Alabama.  My younger daughter, Mikailyn, is a sophomore and a three sport athlete at Oak Grove High School.  I am a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where I also serve as a deacon.  It remains my prayer and my goal to make a positive difference in the lives of the children who walk through the doors of Oak Grove Elementary.
