Teacher of the Year
Congratulations to our teacher of the year, Ms. Leah Singleton! Ms. Singleton is our TAG teacher and has spent the last 12 years of her teaching career devoted to students at CES. She can be found helping all students around the school in all areas pk-5. Congrats!

Alabama Literacy Act-Parent Information
The Alabama Literacy Act was established to implement steps to improve the reading proficiency of public school kindergarten to 3rd grade students and ensure that those students are able to read at or above grade level by the end of the 3rd grade. Please click here to learn more.

Regular Board Meeting January 2021
The Jefferson County Board of Education will meet in a regular session on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Bryant Park Elementary School, 2020 Bryant Park Drive, Birmingham, AL 35215. The meeting will be held in-person and via webex. More information inside.

Remote Learning Announcement
JEFCOED will transition back to remote learning for all students from Tuesday, January 5th through Friday, January 8th. Students currently enrolled in traditional school will return to campus Monday, January 11th.
