Instructional Leadership Team
Dr. Brown expounded on goals, core values, data, and expectations during our first Continuous Improvement Leadership Team meeting of the 2023-2024 school year.

Freshman Academy Assembly
The CPHS Freshman Class of 2027 attended their first assembly and received pertinent information regarding school expectations, the dress code, and about making quality life decisions. The freshman class was attentive and respectful. We are excited about the opportunities that are afforded our young Eagles.

Center Point High School Varsity Cheerleaders
The Center Point High School Varsity Cheerleaders received first place trophies in the Co-Ed Division for their "Game Day" and camp routines at the UCA Cheer Camp. Our team also received superior awards for "Best Overall Cheer" and "Game Day" performances. The team received the Leadership Award plaque for being the team that every team at camp wanted to be a part of. Congratulations, team!

Center Point High School Junior Varsity Cheerleaders
Congratulations to the 2023-2024 Center Point High School Junior Varsity (JV) Cheerleaders for their outstanding performance. Our JV team was awarded second place in the "Game Day" competition, and they also received a rating of superior for being the most improved JV team at the UCA Cheer Camp. Congratulations to our team of cheerleaders!

Going to College
These students will be in attendance at Alabama A&M in Fall 2023. We are elated that they engaged in early planning and are committed to securing their futures.

A Visit to the University of Montevallo
Students toured the University of Montevallo to gain insight into their academic opportunities, the student requirements and the options for student housing.

Students revealed their commitment to the University of Alabama. They will attend the University of Alabama in Fall 2023. We are tremendously proud of our students!

Parent Involvement
Parent involvement in a child’s education is important. Research from the National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education shares that “no matter the income or background, students with involved parents are more likely to have higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and adapt well to school.”

Center Point High School leaders attended the 2023 CLAS Conference in Montgomery, AL to expand their professional growth and to receive additional evidence-based strategies to impact student learning.

Meet Ayana Clark, a Center Point High School published author. Her work, "This Teenage Life" is featured in the book, Where We're Coming From. Ayana Clark is young, gifted, and on the rise; and we are excited about her success.

Notice of JEFCOED Board and Budget Meetings
The Jefferson County Board of Education will meet for the Second Budget Hearing on September 12, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the board's office, 2100 18th Street South, Birmingham, Alabama. A Special Called Board Meeting will follow at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of considering the FY 2024 Budget and general board business. A Committee Meeting will follow the Special Called Board Meeting.
