The purpose of the Bryan Elementary School
Library/Media Center is to promote reading, assist teachers in teaching
students, and to provide access to information in various formats. The
library is staffed by Stefanie Crowe(Media Specialist) and Terri
Weldon (Library Media Assistant). |

Information |
| |
- Each classroom visits the Library
Media Center once a week. Each class has a scheduled time to come to the Library each week.
- Only 1 book for recreational reading
can be checked out at a time. Students may check out another book for
homework and school assignments at their teacher's request.
- Students are welcome to come to the
Library to check out a book, work on a project, research a topic or
study in the Library Media Center at any time.
- Teachers are welcome to bring their
class(es) during our flex time to work on class or group projects or
research a topic. Teachers schedule these times with the Library Media
Specialist.
- There are over 11,000 books available
for student checkout.
- There are several hundred audiovisual
materials available for teacher checkout.
- The Library Media Center has many
exciting events that happen throughout the year. Some of the events
include:
* Children's Book Week
* Scholastic Book Fair
* National Library Week
* Read Across America
* Author Day at Bryan
* November Family Reading Month
and much, much more...
