Alabama Reading Initiative
(ARI)
Bryan Elementary became an Alabama Reading Initiative Literacy Demonstration site in 2003. ARI is a statewide movement anchored by educational leaders from across the state. This movement is dedicated to significantly improving reading instruction and ultimately achieving 100% literacy among public school students. It defines students as "literate" when they can read fluently and with comprehension.
Our students have already begun
to reap the benefits of having ARI trained teachers in the classroom. Test
scores have risen as a result.
