     Our school uses the Accelerated Reader program.  It works this way: 

1. Student selects a book. 

2. Student readsead the book carefully as the exam will be comprehensive.

3. Students take a comprehensive, computerized multiple-choice test.

4. Points are earned based on the grade. The grade is also included in the student's reading grade.

In our Media Center and Classrooms, AR books are sorted by grade levels, and color-coded.
***** A *star* on the dot indicates that it is a nonfiction book.*****
