     Books Over Breakfast

Books over Breakfast features a monthly book talk and breakfast which takes place at 7:25 a.m. in the library. The group typically meets the last Thursday of the month. For example, September's meeting is September 26th in the Media Center. This program is available through a grant from the Jefferson County Board of Education.

How does it work?

  1. Students check out one of five copies of a featured novel or non-fiction books in the Media Center. September's novel is Traitor's Gate by Avi.

  2. Read the book as quickly as possible and return it to the Media Center so that other students can participate.

  3. Write a one-page review of the novel/non-fiction book: A form is available from Mrs. Hester.

  4. Turn in the review to your English teacher or Mrs. Hester.

  5. Come enjoy breakfast and discuss the book the day of the book talk
