PAST EVENTS
Open House/Ribbon Cutting celebration was a great success. It was held on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. A number of dignitaries, such as Irondale's mayor, Tommy Joe Alexander, and superintendent of Jefferson County Schools Dr. Phil Hammonds attended the event. Greetings were made by Dr. Phil Hammonds. Representative Owen Drake was in attendance and presented Mrs. Montalto with a check for $5200 for the school. Others in attendance were Karen Nix, President of the Jefferson County Board of Education and a representative of Gary C. Wyatt General Contractor, LLC. Irondale Middle School band and choir provided music. Closing remarks were by Mrs. Montalto.
