5th Grade Field Trip to Atlanta, GA

Wednesday, November 14th

     Dear Parents and Students,

Our field trip to Atlanta is on Wednesday, November 14, 2007.  Students and chaperones must be at Chalkville First Baptist Church at 5:45 A.M. and no later than 6:00 A.M.  You will have to park cars on the far-side of the church where the field is located due to Wednesday night services. When you arrive at the church, you need to meet your homeroom teacher and start eating your sausage biscuit.  We will eat breakfast and drink before we board the buses. No food, drinks, or gum will be allowed on the charted buses. We must follow our schedule exactly in order to visit every planned event.  The buses will depart at 6:30 sharp.

Students may bring books, hand held video games or CD players to use on the bus.  The electronic items must have headphones.  Also, these items must be clearly marked with the child’s name.  Chalkville School, teachers, chaperones, and Thrasher Brothers are not responsible for lost items.  Students must keep up with their own things.

Chalkville School rules will apply on this trip.  Disciplinary action will be taken if necessary.  Students are expected to be well behaved and stay with their chaperones on the bus and all facilities.  We want every child to be safe and enjoy this experience.  Students and chaperones must follow Chalkville School’s “Dress Code” policy.  We would like the students to wear a Chalkville T-shirt, or a solid navy blue, or gray t-shirt.

We will arrive back at the church at approximately 5:30 P.M.   Please be there at that time to pick up your child.  Everyone will be tired and ready to go home.  If your child will be riding with someone else, we will need this in writing to let your child go.  Students will be signed off the bus to ensure their safety.
