Slide Show Slow!
If your slide show on the front page of your site is changing pictures very very slowly, the major cause of this is the file size on the pictures.
However, instead of reducing the quality of the picture, try first to reduce the resolution.  Most pictures come off of the camera at a very high resolution.  I would suggest taking them down to the recommended size of 380x253.

Login Prompt when opening a file
 
Quick update:  I have found the problem causing the login prompt when you just want to open or view a file.  I am in the processes of rolling out the changes on all the sites.  If you guys have any questions about that let me know!

SharePoint Class Handouts
Finally got around to uploading the class handouts.  You will find them in the document library under links.  The level 1 handout has changed a little and includes more information than it did before.  These include adding web parts, editing navigation and creating pages. Stay tuned for video walkthroughs coming soon!

Annoying "Are you sure Window"
Recently I was working on a pc running Internet Explorer 8.  Whenever I went to edit the Content Editor Webpart on the site I would get a prompt saying "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?"
 
I have discovered a fix for this.
While in internet explorer click Tools -> Internet Options.  Under "Advanced" tab uncheck the box labeled "Enable native XMLHTTP support".  That will keep that annoying box from popping up!

Sharepoint Update
School sites are being transferred to the new site collection.  Teacher sites have been created.  We will have level 1 and level 2 classes coming up at the beginning of next month!  Please keep your eye out for those.
