Hand tinted photographs make timeless treasures.  Learn the art of tinting black and white photographs with hands-on instruction.  A photograph and supplies to use in class will be provided. If you’ve tried shuttle tatting without success, needle tatting is much easier.  Learn to make beautiful, intricate lace-work.  You will need tatting needles and #10 crochet thread.

Charcoal Drawing

This is a charcoal drawing class for artists of all levels.  Class will cover different types of charcoals, various tips and tricks for drawing with charcoal as well as helpful tools and information on papers. Bring any type of charcoal and picture you would like to do to the first class.  Supplies will be discussed at the first class.  No class February 19.

Successful Retirement Workshop

Learn what it takes to make your retirement a better place to be financially.  For adults of all ages, this workshop will give you the tools to create or update your retirement plan.  Topics covered include:  the need for retirement planning, retirement facts, assumptions, and projections, obstacles you face; the current investment environment, practical decision-making, rollovers, long-term care, estate planning, and more.  During the class you will put together your own personal and confidential plan.

Faux Finishing

Learn the basic faux finish techniques including sponging, ragging, color washing and frottage in this hands-on class.  Also included will be color section, mixing paint and glaze, and tools needed for this popular decorating technique.  All materials are included in the class fee.

Estate Planning and Living Wills

Legal aspects of estate planning will be discussed.  Topics include wills, powers of attorney, living wills/advance directive, guardianships, conservatorships, how to probate an estate and how to legally avoid some probate and estate taxes.  Living wills will be explained and your questions answered.  Participants will have the opportunity to execute a living will and have it witnessed during the class.
