FIELD TRIP PAYMENT

All cost for field trips and extracurricular trips using Jefferson County school buses shall be paid by the local school requesting the trip. Any bus use other than regular routes, school-to-school trips, meal transportation, or trips required by a student=s I. E. P., will be considered a field trip. The costs assigned to field trips/extracurricular trips will be as follows:

Driver pay.........................................................Ten Dollars ($10.00) per hour

plus required benefits

*All trips less than three hours will be paid at a flat rate of $30.00 for driver plus required benefits.

PLUS

Mileage............................................................$1.25 per mile

The payment of field trip driver salaries will be due on the payroll AFTER completed field trip tickets are turned in to the Finance Department. Information from the field trip tickets will then be used to bill the school for reimbursement of actual field trip expenses on a monthly basis.
