INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND SERVICES

In order that the Jefferson County School System may assure that each student can, within limits of the individual's ability, enhance his/her knowledge, skills and maturity, the Division of Curriculum and Instruction shall make available to every teacher a wide variety of books, other reading materials, pictures, projective materials, television, recordings, graphic materials, instructional games and other pertinent equipment suited to the interests and needs of the individual students.

The Division of Curriculum and Instruction shall have distributed to each school and make available to each teacher and librarian a materials catalog or listing of the non-book materials center. Books shall be made available through a card catalog located at the instructional materials center.

The Division of Curriculum and Instruction shall utilize appropriate methods of evaluation and training, and make available other assistance to improve the skills of teachers and other professionals in the use of such equipment and materials.
