EMERGENCY CLOSING
Abnormal conditions sometimes occur which require temporarily closing one or more schools, or halting some school activity. Because it is the responsibility of the superintendent to enforce Board policies and the laws regarding the Jefferson County School System, any deviation from the regular school day must be approved by the superintendent, or his designee.
Orderly procedures shall be established to protect the safety and welfare of students and all school personnel during such conditions.
