SCHOOL SCHEDULE

Although the Board encourages flexibility according to the local community, it is necessary that each school prepare a written school schedule to insure compliance with state laws and State Board of Education regulations.

Each principal shall develop and forward to the Division Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and the appropriate Area Superintendent a master schedule for the school year. Variations from the school schedule shall not be made without proper notification and adequate notice. The master schedule shall include:

1. Instructional, homeroom, lunch, play and activity periods.

2. The beginning and ending time of each period and of the school day.

3. The work assignment and student load of each teacher.

4. Upon approval, the master schedule shall be posted in a conspicuous and accessible area of the school.
