APPOINTMENT OF SUPERINTENDENT

In compliance with state statutes (CODE OF ALABAMA, 16-9-1), the Board shall appoint a superintendent of schools who shall act as the chief executive officer and secretary of the Jefferson County Board of Education. The superintendent shall be appointed for a term ranging from two to four years, beginning the first day of the month of July immediately succeeding the appointment.
