ADMINISTRATION IN POLICY ABSENCE

To maintain efficient school management, the superintendent shall have the power to take administrative action in the absence of official Board policy or guidelines (CODE OF ALABAMA, 16-8-9). Such decisions by the superintendent shall be subject to review by the Board at its regular meetings. It shall be the superintendent's duty to inform the Board promptly of such action and of the need for policy (CODE OF ALABAMA, 16-9-15).
