Two Pinson Athletes participate in Under Armour National Teams in Florida

Fifty per cent of the four students representing Alabama in the Baseball Factory's World Series, known as Under Armour National Teams in Bradenton, Florida were two Pinson Valley seniors.  They were Bailey Chesser and Scott Falkingburg and their team won the championship game.  Bailey was named the Baseball Factory/Eye Black Most Valuable Player and was chosen out of 500 players for superior performance, exemplary attitude, and oustanding effort.  Scott plays center field and pitcher, and Baily plays right field and is a pitcher.  Both have represented the Pinson Valley Indians as team captains.

Academically, both athletes excel.  Bailey had a 3.02 GPA and was 2012 Pitcher of the Year for his school and was named to the Birmingham News All-Metro Team.  Scott has a 3.79 GPA winning academic excellence awards for three years straight as a freshman, sophomore, and junior and is in National Honor Society and math and English honor societies.
