Hueytown High School's official ribbon cutting was held January 18.  Three former principals and a current Jefferson County Commissioner and former Hueytown High teacher Jimmie Stephens were on hand to celebrate.  Hueytown High is the sixth new JefCoEd high school as a result of the penny-tax windfall in which $1.2 billion was provided for replacing infrastructure in all of Jefferson County's 13 different school systems.  Pictured are from left Dr. Judson Jones, Kay Lindsey, Commissioner Stephens, Kay Reach, and current principal and mistress of ceremonies Gayle Gober.
