Beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 7th, the student attendance at all Jefferson County Schools will be recorded and an average daily attendance will be tabulated.  This average daily attendance is the number used to calculate the number of teacher units we receive for the next school year.  It is also part of the Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) report used to measure if a school makes AYP. 

Please make sure your child is present and on time every day, unless they are too sick to attend.  Every minute in a child’s education counts!
